More than ever before, our children are faced with unprecedented challenges – lack of supervision, spiraling youth violence and increasing academic demands.  If our youth are to grow up and become productive citizens of society they need a place where they can be just kids.  They need caring adults to help them develop the skills and self-confidence to say “no” to dangerous pastimes.  Boys & Girls Clubs of Marion County offer that – and so much more.

Throughout our history, we have always held a special concern for children from disadvantaged circumstances.  Our comprehensive youth development programs and services provide young people with the skills to overcome their challenges and become responsible citizens and leaders.

We rely on donations to provide adult role models and quality programs for our members.  While we charge a minimal annual membership fee of $10, this is only to give children a sense of ownership.  The actual cost per child is over $250 a year.  For this members receive daily homework assistance, study skills instruction, character education programs, art instruction, leadership training, service opportunities, career exploration, recreation and fitness activities and interaction with adult role models.

Your donation will make a substantial difference in the life of a young person. Here are just a few ways that you can help the Boys & Girls Clubs of Marion County.  You can make your gift by credit card, check or even a gift of appreciated stock or other real property.
