Governor Scott considering line-item veto of Boy’s and Girl’s Club funding

According to Daniel Lyons, Executive Director of the Florida Alliance of Boys & Girls Clubs, “Governor Scott is strongly considering taking the the Mentoring Initiative line item funding and our Gang and Delinquency Prevention [money] out of the 2011-12 budget…”

This could mean a loss to our club of about $45,000. Governor Scott has only until this Saturday to make his line item vetoes and sign the budget.

Please contact Gov. Scott and your local legislators today to let them know that you don’t agree with this cut. Contact info is below:

    It appears about half the budget items were vetoed.
